Nurse Practitioner:

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) role at our clinic is essential for ensuring patients receive comprehensive primary care. NPs can conduct periodic health exams, including well baby visits, and diagnose illnesses by ordering necessary tests such as blood, urine, and imaging. They are authorized to write prescriptions to help treat acute illness or injury. NPs provide education on managing chronic and acute diseases and offer prenatal and postnatal care. Patients may be referred to other health care providers or specialists, as needed. NPs also review test results, participate in the plan of care, monitor patient progress, and provide counseling on preventive health care. They offer immunizations and update preventive care, including breast cancer, colorectal cancer, cervical cancer, bone mineral density, and abdominal aortic aneurysm.
